WHAT'S UP? HAVE FUN!

essentially it's a band playing live, a party and an art exposition throughout the night in the company of other awesome people like yourself. this will happen monday the 20th of july at the loft (which you can see on the front of the flyer, the building on the flyer is the place to be!) of Rudy from the amazing Belgian avant-pop band I Love Sarah. the building is on the Haachtsesteenweg 140 Chaussée de Haecht in Brussels, it's a good 300m from the Botanique, 100m from Les Halles de Schaerbeek/Hallen van Schaarbeek and right opposite the church of St Mary.

now you know when it is, where it is and roughly what it is. but what is it exactly?

like, who is playing live, you might wonder?
a band called What's Up from the very fertile grounds of Portland, Oregon. they are tourbuddies of Deerhoof (in fact they are playing Dour together as well) and Dirty Projectors, main man Robby Moncrieff also did the production for Dirty Projectors' last album Bitte Orca. and as i wrote on the flyer, they really sound like a dirtier, nervous nephew of Ratatat.

which grrrrandes artiiiiiistes are showing their art, you ask?
astrid yskout and ward zwart. pretty neat stuff, right? (as featured in Knack magazine and whatnot.)
and also kurt & kelly who are so underground they're not on the internet, like whoa!

you're all very welcome from 9pm and What's Up will play at precisely 11pm so the train people can still catch the last one, but naturally, the first train is advised. drinks at a very affordable price. everyone has the day off the day after, so come on and come all! see some great art! show some moves! meet some people! drink some booze! have fun!

if you are a nice and awesome person, this is definitely something for you!

thanks to livina stockmans for the back of the flyer. thanks, dude!

WHO?

in this post (which will function as a Who? page linked to in the left column) i will in the very near future write a brief description (and looooovely picture) of the seven people contributing to this blog. FUN!

WHAT?

this post will function as a link to a "What?" page and will be about what Pleasure is in more detail than briefly described on your left. a manifesto or philosophy, if you will. after the awesome What's Up live, art exposition from astrid, ward and kurt & kelly, and party on monday (see above)! SWEET!
